This Isn’t a Comeback – It’s Something New

Happy New Year!!!

It looks pretty new over here if you’re already subscribed and if you’re just new! Hi! I decided to do a whole rebrand in 2025 because this blog is old and it was time for something new! I had over 200 posts and they no longer aligned with much of anything I’m interested in other than fashion. Check out my archive page if you’re looking for some of my more popular posts.

What to expect?

There are absolutely going to be fashion posts because that IS my background after all. But also, art! Since 2018, I’ve been teaching myself how to draw and sometimes paint. By 2020, I started a sticker business called BlackCandyCo and honed in on digital illustration. Currently, my sticker business is a full-blown art business – we’re even diving into canvas art now! Another topic will most likely be recipes I keep going back to and intentional/slow living – but fun!

Why art though?

In the last two years, I fully immersed myself in content creation and art. I couldn’t decide which I wanted to focus on more, so both took my full attention. Then one recent day, a mutual online friend told me to create and post my art. Ever since then, the art and content creation go hand in hand. It’s almost as if I needed permission from anyone to fully dive into being artistic. I didn’t realize I didn’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Ok, but the slow living?

So technically, I did talk about slow and intentional living on ChelsiKay, but I never dove any deeper than a few posts here and there. Since I’m older, I do feel like I have more of a grasp on what living intentionally really means and how to actually incorporate it into life.

Is this blog just about you?

Yes and no. I do want to share life hacks, tips and just drop knowledge about creativity, fashion, and slow living but I also want to share my journey being an artist and a content creator. I want to inspire and really push the constraints of my creativity. ChelsiKay was very “me” focused and I want ByChelsi to be more community focused while still documenting my journey.

The blog is still going through some changes, but it’ll be up and truly running in no time!

That’s all I have for now. I can’t believe I finally rebranded this blog, but I can’t wait to start writing again and start all fresh and new!
